Children and Youth

We welcome all in our churches and the youngest members of our church are very much part of our wider church family. Some of our young people lead our musical worship once a month. Others enjoy ‘serving’ at holy communion, or operating the tech for our online worshippers. There are many ways that our younger church members can feel involved in the life of the church, do encourage them to talk with us and to share their ideas.

Sunday Club

Sunday Club runs on the first and third Sunday (during term time) at St. Peter and St. Paul’s, Fenstanton. We start all together in the church at 10.30am, and then the young people are invited to head over to the church centre for stories, games and crafts. All are very welcome, although very young children might feel more comfortable bringing an adult they know with them. We rejoin our church family towards the end of the service. All leaders and helpers are safely recruited in line with our Safeguarding policy.

We also have a space at the back of the church which children and young people are free to make use of, with books and other resources available to them.

We want to ensure that the whole family is made to feel welcome and you are invited to make the choice that is best for you. Do take the opportunity to speak with one of our welcomers when you arrive, and let us know how we can best support you as you worship with us at St. Peter and St. Paul’s.

Fen Youth - Youth Group

Our youth group welcomes young people from Year 6 and above, and meets (mostly) on the second Friday of each month, with additional activities throughout the year. We gather at 6pm and share a basic meal together, before looking at a bible passage and then moving into a time of activity (which includes games, crafts, time outside when the weather permits and much more). We finish with a short time of prayer and sometimes a hot chocolate, and we are ready to head home by 8.30pm.

We understand that coming to Youth can be daunting for the first time, but we have a small team of volunteers who will do everything to make you feel welcome. Do be in contact if you would like to come along and try one of the sessions.
